Welcome to Common Harvest CSA!
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is based on the idea that neighbors buy a “share” of the farm at the beginning of the season, covering the myriad of winter and spring expenses that the farmers need to get the season going, and taking on some of the risk that the farmer carries in raising and harvesting your food. In exchange, the “share-owners” receive fresh, seasonal food from the farm on a weekly basis. It is based on mutual respect between the customers and the farmers. Our CSA members get an in-depth experience of what it means to eat locally in Northeast Kansas from the first stalks of asparagus in May to the frost-sweetened spinach of Fall.

CSA Season (sessions)
Our season is broken up into two sessions. You can sign up for the full season (both sessions) all at once or either of the two sessions individually. Space is limited. If you know you want to participate in both sessions, please sign up for the Full Season.
- Full Season is 24 weeks long, this includes two 12-week sessions, with a one week break between the two.
- Session ONE (12 weeks) is the week of May 10th through the week of July 26th
- Session TWO (12 weeks) is the week of August 10th through October 25th
Vegetable & Add-on Shares
- The Vegetable Share: This is our base share and it is typically 5-7 vegetable units per week. Members who eat lots of vegetables, or have a large household, may wish to sign up for more than one share. To get an idea of what vegetables you can expect through the season, check out our "What's in the Bag" Page.
- Add-on Shares: You may purchase additional add-on shares to your vegetable share. These include Flowers, Bread, Eggs, Chicken, Fermented Foods, Pork, Beef & Fruit. Like the vegetable share, add-ons are offered for each session (12 weeks) or the full year (24 weeks). Depending on the add-on you choose, you will pick up your add-ons along with your vegetables. Depending on the add-on, they will be distributed in weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly schedules. Please see the list below of the different add-ons, their pick-up schedule and pricing.

- Common Harvest uses Farmigo software for online signups. You sign up for the season through this software and can log into Farmigo to check the status of your shares and payments at anytime. Farmigo sends reminders when payment is due.
- Payment is available online through your Farmigo account. Farmigo uses PayPal as a credit card processor. You may also send a check for your first payment and then bring subsequent checks to your pick-up; alternately, you may send in 4 checks post-dated that we can deposit throughout the season. You will receive further instructions and decide your payment when you complete the sign-up.
- Common Harvest CSA has applied to the USDA to accept SNAP Payments (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program). If you wish to pay with SNAP payments, please contact us at commonharvestcsa@gmail.com to get that set up. Please note that SNAP payments can only be used for vegetable and fruit shares.
